Science

Children develop an understanding of science through planned topics. Experiences are structured so that knowledge, understanding, skills and attitudes develop through first- hand experiences and problem solving activities. There are investigation tables in all classes to support the topic being experienced. Children in Key stage 1, learn a range of scientific skills, including asking relevant questions, seeking answers, observing, investigating and performing simple tests, predicting and recording data. Some  educational off site visits are science based.
